Coeliac Safe Food Venues in Western Australia #9

Last weekend I went to Fremantle with my daughter and a friend.

They were going to a concert in which John Butler was headlining a gig to raise money for bushfire victims.

We stayed at some apartments that backed onto Market street (and one noisy pub, that played from 9pm to 1am some music that sounded terrible to my middle aged ears!!!), but that's a story for another day.

Anyways, the apartments were not bad with a large queen size bed and a couch that became a bed. The location was excellent as well.

We arrived about 2.30 pm, took our overnight bags to the room before we went out for a walk and to grab tea before the girls headed off to their concert.

The girls had already decided to go to to "The Raw Kitchen", and we went with Sarah's recommendations and ordered three  (3) dishes to share between us. We ordered the Yellow Coconut Curry, the Tasting Board and the Mushroom Pizza. They were divine, excellent choices!!

The Raw Kitchen are gluten free and dairy free and the food is delicious. On their website they state the following:

"A plant-based cuisine, made without the use of any dairy, gluten, refined sugar or additives, just real, natural wholefoods put together with care. The menu offers a selection of both cooked and raw plant-based dishes, with a focus on creating the most tasty creations possible. Changing seasonally and with frequent specials. We’re fully licensed with a beautiful wine list of natural, organic and preservative free Australian wines, craft beers and ciders. Alongside this, we serve house-made kombucha elixirs, wholefood smoothies, juices, hot elixirs and more."

I had been to The Raw Kitchen previously but prior to my daughter being diagnosed with Coeliac Disease, but for some reason did not realise that they were wholly gluten free. I would definitely recommend them and will be going back again and again.

NOTE: Since posting this, The Raw Kitchen have changed their menu and now advise that they serve gluten from their kitchen, making it not safe for Coeliac's 2/7/2020
